Sulawesi Palm Civet

Main Characteristics: Sulawesi Palm Civets have a body length between 65 and 71.5 cms (25.6 - 28.1 inches), a tail length between 44.5 and 54 cms (17.5 - 21.25 inches) and they weigh between 3.8 and 6.1 kgs (8.4 - 13.4 lbs).

They are brown in colour with a pale coloured underside and faint brown spots on their sides and lower back. Their coat is very short and dense and they have a ringed tail.

Like other palm civets, they are solitary, nocturnal, and arboreal.

Habitat: Sulawesi Palm Civets can be found in the forests of Sulawesi, Indonesia at altitudes up to 2,600 m (8,530 ft).

Diet: Sulawesi Palm Civets feed on fruits, insects, rodents, and birds.

Subspecies: There are no subspecies of Sulawesi Palm Civet.
