Main Characteristics: Colocolos are small cats and they have a body length between 51 and 76 cms (20 - 30 inches), a tail length of 30 cms (12 inches) and they weigh between 3 and 7 kgs (6.6 - 15.4 lbs).
They range from grey to dark brown in colour with dark brown markings.
Habitat: Colocolos can be found in South America.
Diet: Colocolos mainly feed on small mammals and birds.
Breeding: After a gestation period of 80 - 85 days, Colocolos give birth to 1 - 3 young.
Subspecies: There are 2 subspecies of Colocolo: Leopardus colocolo colocolo and Leopardus colocolo wolffsohni.
